57 people died on the roads of Namur in 2022: here are the most dangerous routes

“Hainaut has the most deaths (73), ahead of Liège (58), Namur (54), Luxembourg (30) and Walloon Brabant (14). Namur is the only Walloon province to record more deaths than in 2019 (49).

“In terms of user types, the largest increase concerns pedestrians (+52%) and cyclists, where the number of deaths increases from 6 to 18,” notes the AWSR spokesperson. The death toll among cyclists remains lower than in 2019, despite an increasing number of cyclists. One in ten bicycle victims in Wallonia was riding an electric vehicle. For pedestrians, however, the results are similar to 2019. The Strepy carnival drama is just around the corner.
