Dramatic win for the Jets

It was a great night in New York for star quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ highly anticipated first start with the New York Jets. However, Rodgers left the game after his first offensive sequence, but the Jets still found a way to win by a score of 22-16 in overtime against the Buffalo Bills on this first Monday game night in the NFL.

The 39-year-old injured his left leg while trying to avoid pressure from Bills linebacker Leonard Floyd. Rodgers had to retreat to the locker room and the Jets confirmed his game was over because tests were negative.

Zach Wilson then took his place and managed to lead his team to success. The Pivot completed 14 of his 21 passes for a gain of 140 yards, in addition to one touchdown pass.

However, the Jets managed to tie the game in the fourth quarter. Receiver Garrett Wilson made an excellent one-handed catch, sending both teams on first down.

Toward the end of the fourth period, the Jets took the lead thanks to a field goal from Greg Zuerlein.

His counterpart, Tyler Bass, tied the game with a 50-yard kick that sent both teams into overtime.

This was short-lived, however, as New York’s standard-bearer Xavier Gipson returned a 65-yard free throw.

Jets safety Jordan Whitehead was one of the game’s big stars, throwing three interceptions. He is the first to achieve this feat for the Big Apple team since Ty Law in 2006 against none other than the Buffalo Bills.
