A 31-year-old woman was arrested in Quebec after driving more than three times the blood alcohol limit while driving with a child in her vehicle.
The suspect was on Champlain Boulevard under the Quebec Bridge when she was arrested by police around 4:30 p.m. last Saturday.
“There was a minor passenger in the vehicle during the interception,” states the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) in a press release.
After miserably failing the breathalyzer test, the 31-year-old woman had her driver’s license revoked for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for a month.
The driver had already been brought to court in 2017 for similar offenses. This time she was released on a summons.
Extreme speeding
A few days earlier, two drivers were arrested by provincial police at the same location for speeding by more than 60 km/h.
In less than 24 hours, the two people were arrested on the Henri-IV motorway, near the Charest motorway. They were traveling at 149 km/h and 151 km/h respectively in a 90 km/h zone.
“They received the appropriate violations based on their respective speeds. In addition, the two drivers’ driving licenses were revoked for a period of seven days,” emphasizes the SQ.
