Madrid and Barça, Barça and Madrid, two opposing teams that cannot live without each other. They are usually the protagonists of conversations and gatherings in all sorts of places. But there’s no better place to discuss both than in El Bar. Today more than ever, ahead of the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final that both will play at the Santiago Bernabéu tonight. The game starts in El Bar and ends on the field.
“The bar with B is the reliable one and the one we like, it’s a universal space that everyone knows. We’ll nudge each other, but always from the good vibes. De-dramatize, because at the end of the day football is a show and needs to be treated as such,” says Sique Rodríguez, presenter and director of the show, which is broadcast on Radio Barcelona from the recently refurbished Toresky studio in Barcelona.
The content, which will last one hour, will be a mix of information, opinion and debate; but always with an informal atmosphere and where respect prevails. “There will be information because we are journalists and we do that, but then there will be opinions from both angles. We will have people very close to Barça and people very close to Madrid. Our aim is to be excited, laugh and be passionate by understanding that what happens in a bar stays in a bar. Whether we belong to Barça or Madrid, at the end of the day we want to have a good time and share the time,” assures the director of Què t`hi jugues! by BEING Catalonia.
All this will take place from eleven in the morning on a TV set as a bar with a huge screen where different voices of journalists, players and fans of both Barça and Madrid will be heard. Some of them will be the journalists Tomás Roncero, Antón Meana or Jordi Martí, all linked to Cadena SER. Or players like Aday Benítez or Jordi Ferrón. There will be many connections and with a great display of information. Although the supporters of both teams will also be important within El Bar by participating through social networks.
The football program will be broadcast on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am to midnight on all Prisa platforms such as Cadena Ser, Diario AS, the El País website and YouTube, social networks and also on all channels that Prisa has in Latin America (Colombia, Mexico, Chile).
