The family of Elon Musk and Grimes has grown.
The Genesis singer was forced to reveal in her Vanity Fair cover story released Thursday that she and the Tesla mogul secretly welcomed the baby girl after her daughter started crying upstairs.
“She has a bit of colic too,” Grimes said after a reporter asked what was going on as the musician noted that her first child, X Æ A-XII, was with his father.
“I don’t know. I don’t know what I was thinking,” she told the magazine about trying to hide the baby.
Grimes, 34, revealed that their daughter’s name is Exa Dark Siderel, but they call her Y, which is appropriate considering her older brother’s name is X.
Y was born in December 2021 to a surrogate mother — months after she and the tech mogul split after three years together. Now the couple is back together in some capacity.
“I would probably call him my boyfriend, but we are very mobile. We live in separate houses. We are best friends. We see each other all the time. … We just have our own affairs, and I do not expect other people to understand this, ”she explained to the publication.
“It’s the best thing ever,” she said of their happiness. “We just need to be free.”
The couple are once again looking to expand their family even further, telling Vanity Fair that they have “always wanted at least three or four” children together.
Musk, 50, was previously married to writer Justine Wilson, with whom he has five sons: twins Griffin and Xavier, 17, and triplets Damian, Saxon and Kai, 16.
He was also married twice to Westworld actress Talulah Riley. They first got married in 2010 but divorced in 2012. They reconciled and remarried in 2013, but divorced again in 2016.
The billionaire also dated Amber Heard from 2017 to 2018 after her ill-fated marriage to Johnny Depp. He was recently rumored to be dating Australian actress Natasha Bassett.
