On Saturday evening, pictures received by TVA Nouvelles show a fierce fight that degenerated at the end of the game in the 3rd period.

The game was between Metal Pless of Plessisville and Metal Perrault of Donnacona, two teams from the Quebec Senior AAA Hockey League (LHSAAAQ).

Metal Perrault players from Donnacona inflicted a crushing 10-2 loss on the local Plessisville team.

In the third period things degenerated completely. The players on the ice field came to blows.

Hockey players in this league are between 20 and 24 years old.

Given the scale of the scuffle between the players, the fans present in the arena had no choice but to contact the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).

At the end of the fight, seven players had to be kicked out of the meeting

According to the umpires, it was a Metal Pless player from Plessisville who initiated the fierce fight.

This new tussle leads many citizens to believe that violence in ice hockey has become more and more commonplace.

A second incident in two weeks

Two weeks ago it was the parents in the stands who made a name for themselves because of their unsightly behavior.

The parents had clashed during a meeting in another league, the Junior AA Hockey League. The shocking images had made the rounds on social networks.

The SQ has opened an investigation into the first incident.
