‘Escape to the Chateau’ stars Dick and Angel Strawbridge have vowed to ‘set the record’ with a new UK tour after being canceled by Channel 4.
The celebrity couple will be hitting cinemas across the country in 2024 with their show Dick & Angel Forever Home (Avec le nitty gritty), with ticket sales starting next week.
In a Facebook post announcing the tour yesterday, the pair said each show will have a “click-bait segment” that will allow them to “set the record straight!”
This comes after Channel 4 confirmed last month it was no longer working with the couple following an independent investigation into their behaviour.
Sources have claimed Two Rivers Media, the company that produces “Escape To The Chateau,” has expressed concerns about Dick, 63, and Angel, 45, and that they are not working on new productions “after a review.”
Meanwhile, public documents revealed this week that the couple are dissolving their chateau company, Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson Limited, founded in 2017.

The latest news comes two years after the popular couple first denied allegations of bullying, which they vehemently denied at the time.
However, amid the aftermath, it appears the pair are pushing ahead with an “all new UK tour” titled Forever Home (avec le nitty gritty).
In a post on their official Facebook page, they wrote: It’s been almost a year in planning and we can’t wait to let you know that we’re embarking on our biggest theatrical tour ever!
“It was an honor and a real pleasure to take our family on the journey.” Our first theatrical tour of 2020; Dare To Do It was completely unknown. It was a humbling experience, not only because of the large number of you who visited us, but also because of the stories you told us when we had the opportunity to hug afterwards!’
They added: “In the new tour, we explore why and how we dared, delving deep into our classic myth-busting and click-bait segment (always a favorite of ours when we get things straight!). It’s going to be an interactive evening of fun and games, especially now that we can have you back on stage!
“We can’t wait and luckily this time we can hug at the meet and greet after the show. If you came to our first tour you know we hang around until we say hello to everyone or we get kicked out of the theater!’
Since the demerger, it has emerged that their 2017 company, Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson Limited, has been applied for a “voluntary de-registration” from the Companies House register.

The motion was signed on May 9 by directors Dick and Angel, whose real name is Angela. The first notice of the strike was published in the Official Gazette on May 23 and the company will be wound up within two months of that date.
Change is now also underway at Chateau Television Limited. Dick and Angel have left the management of the company formed in 2020 and appointed the company Da2AD Limited which is run by an accountant.
That company is now a shareholder, according to Companies House documents, which show Dick and Angel no longer have “control” over the company.
The couple said in an interview last November that they wanted to “go into overdrive” and that wrapping up filming on “Escape…” was the right thing for their young family.
However, this came following reports of the couple’s “aggressive and abusive” behavior towards the film crew, reported by The Times in 2021.
Angel said she didn’t recognize the painting and told The Daily Telegraph: “If you asked every single person on our team, they would all say Dick is absolutely chivalrous.”
“He’s always going to be the person who opens doors, helps people, and if someone upsets me, he’s going to be the first person to take control of the situation.” He’s very protective.’
On May 17, following a “review,” Channel 4 announced they were permanently cutting ties with the couple.
A spokeswoman said: “Following a review, we have decided not to work with Dick and Angel on any new productions going forward.”
Chateau-de-la-Motte Husson Limited was incorporated in 2017 but has applied to Companies House for a “voluntary de-registration”.
The shows were originally produced by Spark Media Partners, but that collaboration ended after four seasons and they were replaced by Two Rivers Media.
However, sources told Deadline that that relationship, too, has “deteriorated.”
In a statement on Instagram on May 26, the couple wrote, “Thank you for inviting us to your living rooms.” You’ve watched our children grow and shared our adventures.
“It was a decision made by the Strawbridge family to complete ‘Escape to the Chateau’ early last year, but savoring every moment and refusing to give up on our dream despite the many challenges, in doing so have fulfilled the chateau with love and laughter and most importantly, we have created the most wonderful home for our family.
“We know there are a lot of stories in the press at the moment. It’s not worth even trying to comment or provide context because anything can be turned into a good headline.
‘We understand. There are two sides to every story and most of you know this because of the incredible support we have received.
“We’re proud of who we are and we feel like we have to do what we think is right. This is what made Escape to the Chateau unique and while we have indeed parted ways with Channel 4 we are immensely grateful to him.” We thank them and their teams for their support and creativity over the years.
“The future really couldn’t look more exciting and we thank you for your continued love and support.”
They continue to sell homeware and other goods through their website and Angel’s range of cushions, bed linen and lampshades will continue to be sold online through Next, Wayfair, Just Fabrics and Argos.

Any events on offer such as Garden Days and Under the Stars tours are marked as unavailable and the Castle, which has been rented out for weddings at £38,000 per time, is also not available for weddings.
In a note on the website, the couple say they are working a two-year backlog. It reads, “We are currently on a two-year wedding catch-up, we will resume requests as soon as possible!”
A post on Instagram last month revealed that weddings are still taking place at the 45-room property they bought in 2010.
You have announced that you will undertake a theater tour to 32 venues next year.
Taking to Instagram, the couple said: “In the new tour, we explore why and how we dared, diving deep into our classic myth-busting and clickbait segment (always a favorite of ours if we get to break the record). straight!).
“It’s going to be an interactive evening of fun and games, especially now that we can have you guys back on stage!!” They continued, “We can’t wait and luckily this time we’ll be able to hug after the show .” the “meet and greet”.
“If you came to our first tour, you know we hang around until we say hello to everyone or we get kicked out of the theater!”
A friend of the couple said: “Dick and Angel’s UK interests are managed through UK companies and as usual the corporate structure is reviewed from time to time and streamlined where necessary to reflect the underlying business.”
