A woman in her 60s driving a Spyder suffered serious injuries after being thrown from the vehicle in a collision Saturday afternoon in Saint-Norbert-d’Arthabaska in the Eastern Townships.
The accident happened around 5:30 p.m. on Laurier Road near the intersection with Lainesse Row, Sûreté du Québec (SQ) spokesman Nicolas Scholtus said.
According to initial reports, the Spyder slowed while stopped in traffic and was hit from behind by a pickup-style pickup truck.
While the Spyder and pickup truck drivers escaped with minor injuries, the Spyder passenger had to be transported to a hospital with serious injuries. However, we would not fear for his life.
