Newly crowned Oscar winner Daniels has set a course for the Star Wars galaxy. The filmmakers behind Everything Everywhere All at Once are working on the Disney+ series Skeleton Crew, sources tell .

Filming for the series began in the summer and has wrapped up in recent months, but as with all things Star Wars, the series has been kept secret with the directors unknown. The full list of The Mandalorian season 3 hosts, for example, wasn’t revealed until a trailer was released two months before the premiere.

It is unknown if Daniels will direct only one episode or more of Skeleton Crew. Lucasfilm could not be reached for comment on the story, which the One Take News site first reported.

Skelton Crew is the upcoming Disney+ show starring Jude Law and is directed by Jon Watts, the director of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy. It revolves around a group of kids lost in the galaxy trying to find their way home. The series, set in the New Republic era, is executive produced by Mandalorian masterminds Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni.

Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) took home three Oscars for “Everything Everywhere,” the multiverse hit that earned them Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Picture Statuettes. The A24 film also won Best Actress (Michelle Yeoh), Best Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), Best Supporting Actress (Jamie Lee Curtis), and Best Editing (Paul Rogers).

The sought-after directors signed a five-year deal with Universal in August. Besides Everything Everywhere they are known for Swiss Army Man with Paul Dano and Daniel Radcliffe. They directed music videos, including DJ Snake and Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What.”

The news comes weeks ahead of the Star Wars Celebration in London, where more plans from Lucasfilm will be revealed. Mandalorian season 3 is currently streaming, with Rosario Dawson-led spin-off Ahoska also expected to release later this year.

Daniels are repeated by Mosaic and Yorn Levine.
