A middle-aged man who went on a rampage over a golf ball was determined to be an Ohio resident who had been arrested for “threatening behavior” in the past.
John Warren Reeb, 41, from the small village of Archbold, went viral with an astonishing clip in which he argued with teammates over a ball before taking off his shirt and challenging them to a fight.
This summer alone, the 5-foot-10 man was arrested twice for aggressive behavior outside his home — including an incident in which he threatened his neighbor while wearing only his underwear, according to local news reports.
The confrontation on the golf course begins when Reeb, wearing a green polo shirt and khaki shorts, is accused of stealing someone else’s ball – which he clearly doesn’t want to return.
“You’re going to leave after I give you a damn thing,” he says, holding up the ball.
An angry golfer who went insane has been identified as a 41-year-old Ohio man who has been arrested multiple times for “threatening behavior.”
Another golfer then says he’s not ready to “fight” on the golf course, which somehow triggers a wild reaction from Reeb.
“I’m going to plant you, damn boy,” he says. “Now get out of the car!”
He then rips off his shirt and screams as he tenses his muscles before shouting, “You see that!” That’s a guy who was in heaven, bitch. And you want to test God?
“You fucking get it, damn stack!”
But the other golfers have obviously seen enough and finally decide to drive away.
An excited Reeb – who was identified with the help of Marco Polo – then shouts to other onlookers: “It was in heaven…leave me alone!”
However, this isn’t the first time Reeb has gone into “Hulk mode” with seemingly strangers – and his previous encounters with police have involved suspected drug possession, aggressive behavior and trespassing.
According to Archbold Buckeye, Reeb allegedly threatened a 26-year-old man named Christian William Griteman in his hometown on July 26, wearing only his underwear.
Police spoke with both men and Reeb received a minor misdemeanor disorderly conduct charge under Archbold Municipal Code.
Just three days later, around 1:15 a.m., police were called to reports that a shirtless Reeb appeared to be chasing a vehicle down the street.
The car was driven by a woman who was not named in the police report.

Police located Reeb, but he fled home and did not answer the door when officers knocked.
Charges of obstruction of official business and menacing were filed in connection with this incident.
He was also charged with disorderly conduct on July 15 for allegedly yelling at 48-year-old Keith Perry of Archbold as he got into his truck early in the morning to drive to work.
The police report said Reeb spit on the truck and then tried to spit on Perry through the vehicle’s open window, according to Archbold Buckeye.
August brought Reeb two more arrests. His most recent arrest came on August 10, when police responded to reports that he was allegedly “causing problems with others.”
Reeb was taken into custody and transported to the Northwest Ohio Corrections Center. He has since been released.
At the beginning of August he was charged again with a misdemeanor.

In November 2017, Reeb was also convicted of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol and sentenced to 150 hours of community service and a $560 fine.
His other alleged offenses include speeding in a school zone in October 2007, drug possession in July and December 2015, planning a premeditated riot in 2022 and trespassing earlier this year.
Reeb also caused a dramatic car accident in 2020 where he was thrown from his vehicle.
According to The Village Reporter, on June 11 of that year, Reeb was driving a Buick minivan when he ignored a stop sign and rammed into the path of a Ford pickup.
Reeb was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered serious injuries requiring hospital treatment after his car rolled over and he was thrown to the ground. The Ford driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
Alcohol was reportedly suspected to be a factor in the accident.
