The ex-wife of the real Wolf of Wall Street has revealed the very candid advice she gave Margot Robbie after the actress expressed her horror at having to strip down for a nude scene while filming a hit film about the disgraced financier.
Nadine Macaluso, 56, who now works as a marriage counselor and family therapist in Florida, met Jordan Belfort, 61, when she was just 22 and working as a model.
The two soon fell into a whirlwind romance, tying the knot in 1991 and having two children together before finally divorcing in 2005 after 14 years of marriage, six years after Jordan went to prison for financial crimes.
After they went their separate ways, Nadine accused the realtor of physical and mental abuse, which she said was fueled by his rampant drug addiction and multiple infidelities.

Nadine and Jordan's relationship – as well as Jordan's illegal stock market scheme in which he stole nearly $200 million from investors – was portrayed in the hugely popular 2013 film “Wolf of Wall Street,” which starred Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan and Margot as Nadine was renamed Naomi for the film.
Now the model-turned-therapist has spoken exclusively to about the intimate conversation she had with 33-year-old Margot before filming began.
She explained that the actress shared her fear of having to get naked in front of the camera for the film, but Nadine helped her use her fear to make her performance even stronger.
“She was just beautiful. She was sweet and so young. She was only 22, the same age as me [when I met Jordan]“Nadine reflected on meeting Margot and remembered the fear the actress had expressed at the prospect of undressing for the film.
“I took her to dinner and she said to me, 'Oh my God, I'm so scared I'm going to have to do a nude scene. I don’t want to be naked, but it’s Martin Scorsese.”
“And I said, 'That same fear of telling the truth to more powerful men, that's what I felt every day.' [while I was married to Jordan].”
“I said, 'If you could channel that, you would really understand what was going on inside me.'
Margot has previously spoken about having to take off her clothes for the film and revealed that she eventually told Martin about her disdain for taking off her clothes in front of the camera.
Nadine told : “I took her to dinner and she said to me, 'Oh my God, I'm so scared I have to do a nude scene.' I don’t want to be naked, but it’s Martin Scorsese.” [directing]”'
But she said she told the young star: “That same fear of telling the truth to more powerful men is how I felt every day.”
Margot (seen in the film) had previously spoken about having to take off her clothes for the film, and she revealed that Martin had told her she could wear a dressing gown if she preferred
And she revealed he offered to let her wear a robe during the scene instead – but in the end she decided it would be better for both the film and her character if she went completely naked.
“I find nudity for the sake of nudity shameful.” If they put it in just so a girl could take her top off, then that's disgusting. And you always notice that,” she said in 2014.
But in the end she decided that it would be better for both the film and her character if she were completely naked. She can be seen in the film
“But I also find it disgusting when someone takes off their clothes in real life and conveniently leaves their bra on or holds up the bedsheet in the movie.”
“Seeing someone choreographed into being covered up irritates me just as much.”
“The whole point of Naomi is that her body is her only currency in this world.” So when Martin tried to help me and in the scene where she seduces Jordan, he said maybe I could put on a bathrobe I that she wouldn't do it. She must be naked. She puts her cards on the table.'
During a conversation with , Nadine also spoke about what it was like having to relive the trauma she suffered during her relationship with Jordan thanks to the film, as well as her initial reaction when she found out her Worst nightmares would be portrayed on the big screen.
“I was so nervous about how I would be portrayed because I don't think Martin Scorsese loves women,” she shared. “I was thinking about how he sometimes portrays women.
