The weather turned hot tonight after Fábio Porchat made a joke with Huck on TV Globo using the name of Gessica Kayane, aka Gkay, during the Best of the Year 2022 awards ceremony in Caldeirão. In honoring Jô Soares, who died in August of this year, Porchat implied that the presenter would rather die when interviewing the comedian.
“I look at Jô and I keep thinking, ‘What would he do with Gkay, Tatá? [Werneck]🇧🇷 In front of him? That’s why he decided to leave us…” Porchat said during the speech. At the time, Tata Werneck, sitting in the audience, was captured by cameras nodding humorously at her colleague’s comments.
Recently, Gkay took part in the show “Lady Night” on Multishow, commanded by Tata Werneck. Her presence at the attraction sparked conversation on social media and backstage.
Following Fábio Porchat’s comment, GKay decided to comment on the issue without giving his name.
“You say a person left rather than interview me, you really have no idea how much that hurts me in a thousand places. First, because I know what it’s like to lose someone. Secondly because being interviewed by Jô was one of my dreams and thirdly because I must be giant trash,” she wrote on Twitter.
“I’m tired of being that shitty joke for people, making fun of him, being scum, being treated like … I don’t know man, I’m just at home with my family watching movies and all that is what i get. Had to leave the room to cry in the bedroom and my mom doesn’t see it because I don’t want to ruin her Christmas.
GKay even said she was “tired” of being the butt of jokes. “I’m really tired you know guys. I’m really tired. In fact, I’m exhausted because I don’t know what I’ve done to make people hate me so much and humiliate me so much day after day and now even on national television to show that I’m a bad joke for all of Brazil .”

The comedian also criticized a comment by Paulo Vieira, also made during the awards ceremony. At one point, Vieira said he was very worried about the “world standard” until he found out the channel was broadcasting Farofa on GKay, an event where the comedian is celebrating the birthday with a threeday party.
“We’re so worried about putting it on Globo that we’re like, ‘Wow, right, it’s Globo quality standards, we have to do something on a high, elegant level. Then I saw that Globo was broadcasting Farofa by Gkay. So I think I’m the last person to care about global quality standards,” he said.
Taking to Twitter, GKay replied, “Must really matter to me that I’m on the agenda so many times I haven’t even been called,” she wrote.
The “Best of the Year 2022” was shown this afternoon in the program of Domingão do Huck. GKay wasn’t in the audience.
