The former BBB Key Alves caught the attention of followers this Monday (5/8) by showing off her new tattoos on her social media. The volleyball player tried to pay homage to Mexico, the country where she was scheduled to participate in the BBB 23 exchange program. She has a heart tattoo in green, white, and red. However, fans soon realized that the athlete had made a faux pas and forgot to add the existing coat of arms on the Mexican flag, turning the design into an Italian flag.

Followers did not let the failure go unnoticed and insisted on warning the famous. “This flag is from Italy,” commented one follower. “You got a tattoo of the flag of Italy, not Mexico,” joked another. Despite the mistake, fans of the former BBB praised the tattoo.

This isn’t the first time the public has pointed out the gaffe in the athlete’s tattoos. During his incarceration on Globo’s reality show, viewers noticed a grammatical error in the phrase “Be hurt nicely” marked on his left arm. In free translation the meaning would be something like “be nice to be hurt” or according to google translator “be nice to be hurt”.

However, netizens analyzed that Key must have thought of writing “beautiful hurts” in English, but he made a big mistake. The correct expression would be “beauty hurts”. Or, as Beyoncé would say in her hit “Pretty Hurts.”

Aside from paying homage to Mexico, Key Alves also made other tattoos that represent his passage through the BBB. One of them brings the catchphrase “Posturada e Calma” that marked her participation in the reality show. Another tattoo holds a key, relating to his entry into Brazil’s most guarded home.

Finally, she explained that one of the drawings was a tribute to her grandfather. “A beautiful tribute from my fans to my grandfather’s death while I was incarcerated, which were the coordinates of a star where he is today,” he explained.

Despite the small mistake in the Mexican flag tattoo, the athlete showed that she is happy with the new tattoos and made them with great care.
