James Cameron therefore categorically closes the door on his involvement in such a project, even calling the prospect “obnoxious”.

The Titan submersible imploded during its descent to the Titanic wreck last month with five passengers on board, including the CEO of OceanGate, the expedition’s organizer.

Several questions followed about the safety measures of the device, which many believed would prove faulty, sparking international interest in this widespread tragedy.
