A shootout broke out outside a bar in downtown Montreal Sunday night and no one was injured.
Montreal Police were alerted at around 12:45 a.m. to gunfire being heard outside the Chez Paree establishment on Stanley Street, near Sainte-Catherine Street West.
The police dispatched to the scene of the crime found several bullet holes on the facade of the building, as well as casings on the ground.
According to initial information, there was an argument between several people, and the suspects used their weapons in the scuffle.
The suspects then quickly fled before the police arrived, said Jeanne Drouin, spokeswoman for the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM).
According to the SPVM, which has not reported any arrests on file, no injuries have occurred at this time.
A security perimeter has been established to protect the scene pending investigators’ determination of the exact circumstances of this shooting.
