Eagles are imposing birds known for their power and elegance. Because of this, they are considered symbols of strength and freedom. They belong to the Accipitridae family and are characterized by their large size and excellent eyesight, which allows them to hunt.
On average, an eagle can reach a wingspan of between 1.8 and 2.5 meters. Their feathers are dark and strong, allowing them to fly through the air. They have sharp claws and a powerful beak capable of tearing apart their prey.
Birds of prey have visual acuity that allows them to see their prey at great distances. They are found on practically every continent except Antarctica.
Some species prefer to stay near rivers and lakes, while others inhabit open areas such as mountains and steppes. Eagles tend to be solitary and territorial, building their nests in high places.
This is a hunting strategy to make it easier for them to see their prey. Their nests are built from twigs and lined with materials such as moss and feathers. We’ve created a little quiz to test your attentiveness.
