Fiorella daughter of Angelo Medina is aspiring to the crown

Fiorella, daughter of Angelo Medina, is aspiring to the crown of Miss Universe Puerto Rico

she is Fiorella, the daughter of Angelo Medina. The only woman and the youngest of three brothers in the producer’s marriage to Enid.

But now the 27-year-old is making her own name in business, health and glitz. What does the latter have to do with the former? Well, after eight years of studying and working in New York City as a strategic management consultant, Fiorella wanted to return to the island.

Her motivations were twofold: to build a holistic health business here, for which she was certified, and the door to her return was an opportunity to audition for the next edition of the Miss Universe Puerto Rico pageant.

“I’ve lived abroad for eight years, but I was like, ‘How am I going to go back to Puerto Rico?’ and two months ago I didn’t even have tacos. I had a blush and a concealer, I’m a very simple and elegant woman, that was my style, and that door opened. I have always shared with my father the dream of representing Puerto Rico on a global scale, and they told me to go to the casting and I said wow. Ever since I was little Magali Febles had planted the seed in my brain and I said to Angelo give me Fiorella… and years, years later, here I am,” she shared.

The contestant told her story while attending this Monday morning as the presenter of a concert given by the singer Melina León for the inmate community of the Bayamón Women’s Rehabilitation Center. Dance teacher and director of the Por Amor al Arte program, Juliana Ortiz, invited her to introduce the singer.

Fiorella believes that belonging to the professional field and participating as a volunteer in various organizations, mainly services for minors, is an advantage over other candidates who are also pursuing the title of Beauty. “Ever since I was little, I’ve been working with communities, with children, and that’s my passion. I’ve worked with the Caño Martín Peña, the Hogar Cuna San Cristóbal, but very privately because I’m a very private woman and I want to help Puerto Rico move forward, especially in terms of our children’s education,” explained the singer’s goddaughter Ricky Martin.

It is also interesting to encourage young people to look for opportunities on the island and stay here. “There are a lot of young people who think they can’t go back to Puerto Rico, that the opportunity doesn’t exist, but if it doesn’t exist, then we will make it.S. A lot of people go there and I want to show that there are many opportunities in Puerto Rico and educate the children of Puerto Rico so that they don’t want to leave when they grow up,” the young woman said.

Commenting on his father’s reaction to his participation in the competition, he said: “My father almost died but he’s super happy now.”

I’m a woman who wants to be a transformational leader and I have a lot to offer and I know I may not have the experience yet but I’m doing triple work to get it because people underestimate (competitions ), but it’s really been a wonderful learning curve and I think it’s something new, something different.”
