The Montreal-based company, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, announced on Thursday that it has acquired video game studio SockMonkey, which will take the name Behavior UK – North.

“Like our Seattle-based studio Midwinter Entertainment, which we acquired last year, SockMonkey is built on strong core values ​​of innovation and collaboration,” said Rémi Racine, CEO of Behavior. These values ​​mirror our own and make SockMonkey a natural partner in our ambitious growth strategy. »

Developing hundreds of games in collaboration with other companies such as Sony, EA, Microsoft and Warner, Behavior has its greatest success with its own game Dead By Daylight, which was released in 2016 and attracts around 50 million players online.

SockMonkey was founded in Middlesbrough, England in 2013 and has a team of 45 people. The studio specializes in co-development projects on all platforms. We owe him the games SockaMonkey in 2014 and Totally Accurate Battlegrounds in 2021.
