Five facts to remember ahead of CF Montreals first game

Football Canada: Decline in popularity of CF Montreal players

Just a few months ago, CF Montreal was the most represented team in the Canada men’s soccer team that took part in the World Cup in Qatar. Defender Kamal Miller is more than just a player, he’s part of the group now.

Coach John Herdman announced his squad for the last two CONCACAF Nations League games on Thursday. The maple leaf is measured on March 25th and 28th in Curaçao and Honduras. These will be Canada’s first meetings since the World Championships.

Miller, defender Joel Waterman, goalkeeper James Pantemis and midfielder Samuel Piette traveled to this international tournament last November and December. We can also add the names of Ismaël Koné and Alistair Johnston who are now playing in Europe.

CF Montreal has not started the season well after losing their first three games and failing to score. In addition, Pantemis was injured in the first meeting and Piette suffered a small physical defect.

In addition, Bleu Blanc Noir forward Romell Quioto will also play in two Nations League games for Honduras.
