After discussing a return to play numerous times in recent months, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers will likely have to resign himself to missing the remainder of the 2023 season.
The 40-year-old veteran said this on Tuesday during his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show.

The pivot was seriously injured in his Achilles tendon in his team's first game and had to go under the knife. He returned to training with his teammates at the end of November.
Rodgers said he is “not 100 percent medically cleared” by the Jets' medical team and that this will be “probably more realistic in three or four weeks.”
The New York club only has three games left in the 2023 season, as its 5:9 record means it is already guaranteed to take part in the playoffs.
“If I was at 100% right now, I would be pushing to play,” the four-time NFL MVP said.
Earlier this season, Rodgers explained that a return to play depended on two things: whether he was healthy enough and whether the Jets were on track to make the playoffs.
However, there is hope for 2024 and even beyond. When asked if the next campaign would be his last, the pivot said he didn't think so.
He added that he has a “renewed passion for football” since the Green Bay Packers traded him to the Jets.
