Thousands of people came out Streets of Paris this Sunday the 12th, in protest against the rising tide of antiSemitism in France.
The French Prime Minister Elisabeth Bornewho defines herself as both a leftist and a leader of the right Marine Le Pentook part in the march in the French capital.
The president Emmanuel Macron did not attend the march but expressed support for the protest against “the rampant resurgence of antiSemitism.”
The Paris authorities mobilized 3,000 security officers along the route. France has that largest Jewish population in EuropeHowever, after the massacre sponsored by the terrorist group, there was an explosive increase in the number of antiSemitic acts Hamas against Israeli civilians on October 7th.
For example, last week a A woman from a Jewish family was stabbed to death in front of her house, in Lyon, southeastern France. Police found a spraypainted swastika on the door of the victim’s apartment.
On October 13, a man armed with a knife killed a teacher and seriously injured others at a secondary school in Arras in the north of the country.
The murder was described as “barbaric Islamic terrorism” by French President Emmanuel Macron.
