Gabriel Polanco, the Dominican who triumphs "The killer" from Netflix El Caribe newspaper

Dominican actor Gabriel Polanco, born in Santo Domingo, continues to make the reputation of the Dominicans known, now with his second participation in the Netflix film “The Assassin”, filmed in the country and positioned as a gem of excitement and action on the streaming platform.

The film is directed by famed Oscar-nominated director David Fincher, celebrated for his hit films such as The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Fight Club and Seven, as well as the House of Cards series.

This production features the outstanding performance of Michael Fassbender (X-Men, Steve Jobs), who plays a hitman, a lonely, cold, methodical and unrepentant man who waits in the shadows for his next target.

Gabriel Polanco plays the character of Leo, the taxi driver in the series, which tells the story of a deadly murderer undergoing a mental health crisis.

The young actor began studying acting with Johnnie Mercedes and Clara Luz Lozano in 2015. He then continued his training at the stunt school with teacher Álvaro Guzmán.

In 2019, he took intensive film and television acting courses with Drama Inc. in Atlanta.
