The German city got bruises for the second time in March. In the Langenhorn district of Hamburg, a shootout broke out shortly after 11:30 p.m. this Saturday, March 25, leaving two dead.

The two protagonists were found dead on the sidewalk between two apartment buildings. According to initial police findings, they would have died immediately from gunshot wounds.

A gun was found next to the 50-year-old’s body. According to local police investigations, the latter would have shot the other victim, aged 42, before pointing the gun at him.

An investigation has been opened

“I had just gone to bed and was about to sleep when I suddenly heard three shots. When I looked out the window, the first passers-by were already rushing towards the entrance of a building. It’s pretty unusual for that to happen here. We feel so comfortable and secure here, and then something like this happens in front of his door,” a resident of the district told Bild.

After the events, the Crisis Intervention Unit (KIT) of the German Red Cross took care of the relatives of the two victims and the eyewitnesses at the crime scene. 28 police vehicles drove to the scene of the tragedy and the investigation was transferred to the criminal police.

As a reminder: Already on Thursday evening, March 9th, a shooting broke out in a service center of Jeovah’s witnesses in Hamburg. According to German media, the latter had killed eight people and injured many.
