At the top of the sequence of Tower On Wednesday night, comedian Gildor Roy shared some sad news with his guests.

Around the table in the host’s apartment sat the co-host of the talk show Alexandre Beretthe actress and future narrator of the new season of the island of love Genevieve Schmidt and the radio host Benoit Dutrizac.

As he tackles the thorny issue of Alzheimer’s disease, Gildor Roy revealed that he recently lost a member of his family to the aftermath of the horrific disease.
“I have one of my cousins who died of Alzheimer’s last Monday. She was 62,” he revealed, causing a brief, sympathetic silence around the table.

The duo then spoke in 2017 about Geneviève Schmidt’s father, who also died from these circumstances, and the actress, with great vulnerability, confided in the painful final stages before the latter’s death.

“It was horrible. Horrible, horrible, horrible. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone,” she said, referring to the fact that she and her family had to take her father to a hospital six months before his death.
Their conversation was one of the most moving.
