Golden Globes 2023: Relive the triumph of Steven Spielberg, the intervention of Volodymyr Zelensky and the entire price list

The Los Angeles Times, on its website home page tonight, apparently prefers the dramatic storm currently sweeping California (the death toll stands at 17) to the Golden Globes… and mentions the ceremony: “The Golden Globes are coming alive again thanks Hollywood stars who give difficult awards a second chance. The Californian daily explains that despite the threat of widespread boycotts, stars Margot Robbie, Michelle Williams, Billy Porter and even Steven Spielberg walked the red carpet in Beverly Hills. Not surprisingly, Tom Cruise or Brendan Frasier were absent due to their falling out with the HFPA. Winner Kevin Costner was also absent, but he, due to torrential rains blocking him in Santa Barbara, where he resides.
The New York Times, for its part, headlined: “As the Golden Globes attempt a comeback, the stars return to the stage”. And the New York daily concludes: “After two years of upheaval caused by ethics, diversity and financial scandals, Hollywood has ended the claim that the Golden Globes are marks of artistic excellence. (…) The Golden Globes are business, pure and simple”.
