Groovin the Moo fans are blaming the regional festival39s abysmal

Groovin the Moo fans are blaming the regional festival's abysmal ticket sales on the 'divine line-up' of music artists – as the 2024 tour has been officially canceled

Groovin the Moo was forced to cancel its upcoming regional tour due to poor ticket sales, and now fans are arguing over the reasons behind that decision.

While organizers blamed the cost of living crisis, concertgoers flooded into the comments of the festival's Instagram post on Wednesday, blaming the artist lineup instead.

With Australian rock band Jet, GZA from Wu-Tang Clan and indie pop star Jessie Reyez, many fans were woefully underwhelmed.

“Maybe next year we'll come back with a real lineup and people will think it's a real festival,” one person wrote.

Another added: “Remember Billie Eilish's headline pre-Covid?” Now look at that lineup again. It hasn't been the same since Covid. Admit it.'

“Bro, maybe because there wasn't even a headliner.” “I loved that there were a lot of bands there, but there are so many better festivals for the same price,” said a third.

Yet another commented: “God awful line up and no one knew who the headliner was so it's not a big surprise.”

Despite the increasing criticism of this year's music program, many fans had heated arguments with the critics and defended the selection of artists.

One person said: “Maybe people wouldn't be so spoiled when it comes to festival lineups and would just appreciate a collection of good artists.”

“The line up was INCREDIBLE, you people in the comments have no taste,” another wrote.

Another commented: “Most people in this comment section are showing brain cells in a tic-tac shape. 'Good for you guys.'

Groovin the Moo presenter Carla From Bankstown added her own take on the program by labeling critics “gronks” and telling them to “grow up”.

Groovin the Moo organizers announced on Wednesday the festivals across Australia would not take place in 2024, citing poor ticket sales.

The touring festival was scheduled to take place between April 25 and May 11 in cities including Wayville, Canberra, Bendigo, Newcastle, Bunbury and the Sunshine Coast.

Groovin the Moo organizers took to social media to announce the sudden cancellation to fans.

“Ticket sales were not sufficient to hold a regional festival of this type.” “All tickets will be automatically refunded,” the post says.

“Thank you to everyone who supported the festival.” “We hope to bring Groovin the Moo back to regional communities in the future.”

Before the shock announcement, tickets had only been on sale for just over a week.

The festival has brought some incredible superstars to rural music lovers in recent years, including Billie Eilish, Alt-J, Gang of Youths and Spiderbait.
