“The argument ‘people pay to see you sing and not hear your views’ is so stupid,” she wrote. “No, you paid to see me use a stage as a form of expression in the way I chose. I’m sorry you lack the critical thinking to realize that the rhetorical power of music doesn’t always serve your escapism.”

During Sunday’s concert, Halsey paced as she addressed the crowd in a Video shared on Twitter.

“The truth is, looking at this audience breaks my heart because I see so many people who deserve to live incredible lives, who deserve the right to the health care they need, who deserve the right deserve to choose yourself in the situation where you have it, a choice,” Halsey said. “I look out for each and every one of you and I don’t ever want you to have to be in a situation where you don’t have access have to.

“If you don’t like it, you can go home now, I don’t care.”

One fan tweeted: “THE CROWD OF PEOPLE WHO LEFT THE HALSEY CONCERT AFTER A NIGHTMARE ONLY WHEN SHE TALK ABOUT ABORTION WAS ILL. FIGHT FOR WHAT IS RIGHT.”

SCOTUS’ June 24 decision effectively ended recognition of a constitutional right to abortion that had been in effect since 1973, and gives individual states the power to allow, limit, or ban the practice altogether.

Supreme Court Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Amy Coney Barrett and Brett Kavanaugh voted to end landmark federal abortion protections. Chief Justice John Roberts did not agree to end Roe.

“The majority overruled Roe and Casey for one reason and only one: because it has always despised them and now has the votes to cast them out,” judges Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan wrote in a joint, 59 -side report dissent.

“By overruling Roe and Casey, this court is betraying its guiding principles. It is with sadness – for this court, but even more so for the tens of millions of American women who have lost basic constitutional protections today – that we disagree.”
