Around 150 stalls representing 14 cities and provinces from across the country, 100 travel companies and 12 districts of this capital liven up this year’s event, traditionally held in the pedestrian streets around central Hoan Kiem Lake (Restored Sword) .
In 2023, Hanoi will aim to welcome more than 22 million tourists, Vice President of the City’s People’s Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen said at the opening of the event the previous day, stressing that work is underway to achieve that goal through creation new tourism products.
In addition, he added, investments will be made in infrastructure, accommodation, entertainment areas and resorts to meet current needs and trends, diversify forms of tourism promotion, and improve management capacity and quality of services in the industry.
In the current edition of the festival, tourists have the opportunity to book numerous tours at reasonable prices to discover the cultural and historical destinations of Hanoi and other places in the country, as well as tours connected to international destinations.
The meeting also makes it easy to visit famous attractions such as Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Old City, Ba Vi and Soc Son areas, Duong Lam Ancient Village, Co Loa Citadel, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda and Ecotourism Complex as well as the spiritual sites of Tay Yen Tu, in Bac Giang Province.
Visitors to the Hanoi Tourism Festival, which ends tomorrow, also have the opportunity to purchase items from the so-called OCOP (Each Commune, One Product) at the numerous sales outlets set up for this purpose.
