As part of the mega-operation SCANDALEUX, police have made 21 arrests since last Friday. Here are the identities of those currently in custody and facing trial.

Hostage taking in Saint-Malachie
A father and his daughter were arrested on Monday in connection with the February 19 hostage crisis in Saint-Malachie. Georges Roy is a resident of 200, Route Kelly, in Saint-Malachie, where the events occurred on the night of February 18th and 19th. He has extensive legal experience, particularly in narcotics matters.
Both he and his daughter are accused of aggravated assault and forcible confinement of the same victim. During the event, a 29-year-old Quebec man, Patrick Martin, was killed.

Hostage taking in Montmagny
At least five people are on trial for kidnapping and torturing a victim in Montmagny between February 12 and 20. They are Dave Mathieu, William Monger-Gagnon and David Marceau-Morin.
In addition to these charges, Evan Lavoie, of Sept-Îles, and Andréanne Dominique, of Montmagny, are also charged with kidnapping the same victim.

Two more defendants in Montmagny
Two other defendants are believed to have kidnapped and kidnapped the same victim between February 13 and 19, while still in Montmagny. Rémi Fournier, from Montmagny, and Dave Gallienne-Picard, from Cap-Saint-Ignace, are charged with kidnapping, forcible confinement and aggravated assault.

Gun ownership in SeptemberITHE
A young man, Dereck Morin-Martel, was arrested on Sunday in Sept-Îles for failure to comply with conditions and possession of a prohibited weapon. According to the indictment, the defendant did not show up at the therapy house in Victoriaville, where he was required to live in accordance with his release conditions.

Violence and torture in Quebec
Rapper James “Frekent” Célestin and David Marceau-Maillefert are accused of aggravated assault and kidnapping of a victim that occurred on February 4 in Quebec.
They are also accused of carrying out a kidnapping with the aim of kidnapping the same victim between February 12 and 20.

A young man appeared last Saturday and is accused of carrying out two arson attacks at 243 and 251 rue Industrielle in Sainte-Marguerite on October 31st.

Attempted murder on Highway 40
A couple from Lebourgneuf appeared on Saturday after being arrested in Lebourgneuf on Friday. Francis Gauthier-Marcoux and Bianca Simard were involved in an attempted double murder that occurred in broad daylight on Highway 40 last November. They are also charged with conspiracy to commit attempted murder.

A Sainte-Foy resident also appeared this weekend and was charged with attempted murder, discharge of a firearm and conspiracy against a victim. The events occurred on November 3rd in Quebec.

Arson in Château-Richer
A man in his 40s has been accused of planning and causing an arson at KCR Karting on the Route de Saint-Achillée in Château-Richer on February 9.
