In a statement, Hezbollah said the operation was part of support for the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in retaliation for attacks on Lebanese villages and civilian homes.
This Monday, two citizens were injured in Israeli attacks around the town of Baalbek in the east of the country, the first attack on this region since October 8 last year.
In this regard, Hassan Fadlallah, member of the “Loyalty to the Resistance” bloc in parliament, emphasized that the aggression against Baalbek will not go unanswered.
According to the deputy, “the enemy believes that today he can regain his prestige through aggression in Baalbek and in the villages.”
In this message, Fadlallah emphasized that the resistance would respond creatively to Israel's ongoing hostility toward cities in Lebanon.
Hezbollah confirmed at least eight operations against Israeli forces in recent hours, including the downing of a Hermes 450 drone with a surface-to-air missile over the Iqlim al-Tuffah region.
According to local reports, the Hermes 450 is the third largest unmanned aircraft in the Israeli arsenal and is operated by the 161st Squadron and the Zik artillery unit.
This medium-sized aircraft is designed for long-range tactical operations within Israeli Army reconnaissance and intelligence units and flies up to a maximum distance of 300 kilometers.
Hezbollah also carried out actions against the Branit barracks and the Ruwaisat Al-Alam and Al-Radar sites in the occupied Lebanese farms of Shebaa, and attacked the Al-Baghdadi position and a concentration of soldiers around Hadab Yarin.
In another statement, the resistance announced the firing of rockets at the settlement of Shtula (less than two kilometers from the city of Aita Al-Shaab) in response to Israeli aggression against Lebanese villages and civilian homes.
