The New Zealander’s humorous video posted on Tiktok drew a lot of reactions. Many netizens suggest setting up flights without children to avoid noise pollution.
A New Zealander has sparked debate after posting a Tiktok expressing his anger when a child cried during his 29-hour flight to Berlin. In his video, Henry Beasley, a member of a New Zealand music group, asked netizens to “rate his flight”.
The video focuses on Henry Beasley’s face with the child’s screams in the background as the musician comments on the noise disturbance he is subjected to. “Good start,” he writes at the beginning of the Tiktok video, while the first screams. As the crying continues, Henry Beasley humorously says that “the child has sacred lungs”.
Flights “without children”
His humorous video has been viewed more than 12.7 million times this Thursday and has generated many comments. “Honestly, there should be flights without kids and flights for kids,” wrote one user in a comment that has been liked more than 250,000 times.
In fact, Henry Beasley’s restless flight opened the debate. “You should not allow children on flights longer than four hours,” commented one person. “I would pay extra for flights without kids,” adds another.
“I think I would have jumped out of the plane right now, parachute or not,” one surfer quipped.
An even harder time for parents
So many would agree that Henry Beasley’s flying experience seemed unbearable and that flying without children would be a good solution. However, many in the comments also defend the parents and point out that the time was probably even harder for them.
In a Tiktok published a few days later, the New Zealand musician spoke about possible “flights without children”. He humorously suggested that those irritated by babies crying on airplanes could use headphones and listen to his tunes instead.
