As the first pick for the next National League amateur draft, Regina Pats’ black has continued to pick up points at an amazing rate this season as he has 142 points in just 55 games.

And many fans wanted to show their admiration for his loved ones by showing up around or on the grounds of the family’s North Vancouver home.

The whole thing does not please Melanie Bedard, who expressed her desperation on Instagram.

“People often stand around our house and wait outside. Then they take pictures of us as soon as we set foot outside, she lamented, referring to these impromptu paparazzi. One day someone even went behind our house, entered the yard and called out loud and asked for Connor’s presence.

The skater’s mother admits the problem escalated after the recent World Junior Championships.

“Recently I had to turn off my phone for about ten days because I got too many messages. It was out of control. You know I’m never used to this. And it’s practically impossible to go to the supermarket or the mall with Connor without being recognized.”

After hitting the 70-goal record this year in the WHL, the 17-year-old center was scheduled to face the Saskatoon Blades on Friday.
