The 1.7-mile parade begins Monday at 12:00 p.m. at Preston Street and Smith Street, travels through the heart of downtown, past City Hall and on down to Tuam Street and Smith Street.

Smith, Louisiana and Bagby will all be closed for the parade route.

“The fans support us. And to see that place erupt was spectacular,” Astros owner Jim Crane said of Saturday’s win. “Have a safe day and enjoy the championship.”

Expect Houston police to be present along the parade route. The Houston Fire Department will also station medical teams in the area.

Officials are urging attendees to pack plenty of water due to Monday’s warm forecast. You can see Monday’s full forecast here.

To reduce traffic jams in and around the city center, METRO rides are free all day Monday.

“Please use METRO tomorrow. I ask everyone to show their best side. Show off the best of what this city has to offer. It’s our turn to be thankful and celebrate,” said Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner.

Carpooling:

  • Roast Square Memorial Park
  • Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart

The ride-sharing service is a few blocks from the parade route, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes and plan to do some walking.

You can check the parade schedule and ride sharing opportunities on the METRO website.

Regular bus routes and timetables in the city center will be diverted. Afternoon Park and Ride service will be delayed by at least an hour and will not start until 4:00 PM

The green and purple METRO lines have an adapted service. There is no service between the EADO station and the theater district.
