— I've been waiting for invitations all my life and from one moment to the next I became an inspiration to women over 50 who think they are old, who can't move, get out of a relationship, change jobs .. .Society rejects everything that is old, but prejudices existed in us long before that. Most women rush to undergo plastic surgery at the first signs of aging. We don't accept each other. I also put myself in this situation because since I do procedures, I color my hair every 15 days. Because of the internet, many women are taking a stand. We have to show women that life simply doesn't leave us any time after we die analyzes the actress, who currently has more than 500,000 followers on her social media profile.

As the book's title suggests, Monique experienced a turning point at the age of 50 when she was denied a role on television, where she had worked since she was eleven:

— I was frustrated, it was a blow. My friend who encouraged me to get out of that situation and fight. It was an ear lift that I will never forget. I cried and cried a lot. Things started four years ago when I traveled around Brazil and became a brand ambassador, even without being on air. I have 30 fan clubs that I never had as an actress.

Monique will also be releasing two films this year: My Four Husbands and Help I'm Broke. As for the small screen, she doesn't plan on returning anytime soon.

— My last characters on TV weren't challenging, they were small and inexpressive. Today I couldn't play such a role and waste this time. I earn more from one lecture than from a month of work on a channel. If I were offered a good role, I would forego speaking engagements. I've thought about giving up a million times. I studied for public exams, owned a gym and gave history lessons to my children's friends (Victoria, 21 and Theo, 18). “Today I am the most fulfilled person because I help people,” he emphasizes.

Monique also reveals that she was in an abusive relationship. She was not physically attacked but suffered for eight years.

— Everything that went wrong was my fault. I was called stupid, idiot, and idiot almost every day. He wouldn't let me show my tattoo because he thought it was for sluts. I only wore clothes with sleeves recalls Monique, who now lives in a peaceful marriage with businessman Leonardo Mattos.
