Former Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt was spotted in Australia earlier this week after it emerged he would make a controversial appearance on the show.

On Sunday, Chris Moyles was the first star to arrive in a luxurious black Rolls Royce. Admitting he was hoping to endear himself to the public, the star said: “People are going to be so excited to see Chris Moyles.
“They’ll say, ‘Wow, he’s so much nicer than I thought he would be. He’s not an asshole.”
Chris was followed by former Love Island star Olivia Attwood. She said: “I think with reality TV people in general there’s an idea that we’re lacking in the brain department and I’ll confirm that.”
Speaking of the show’s tough trials, she said, “My nerves aren’t really trial-based. They tend to live with other people but I got used to it on Love Island… I guess the shower and toilet stuff doesn’t really put me in phase! I pee in the garden every time I go out.”
Charlene White was the third star to appear on the show. The ITV newsreader and Loose Women presenter said: “Of all the shows I said I’d never do, I’m A Celeb was definitely one of them…
“How do I think I’ll get along? I’m not an outdoor person.’
Charlene has previously said she would not be able to cry on the show as she struggles with the harsh living conditions in the jungle.
The fourth celebrity to hit the screens was former England footballer Jill Scott. The Lionesses star said on arrival: “My greatest success was winning the Euros against Germany. 90,000 people at Wembley. The best day of my life. My next step is entering the jungle, which I’m really looking forward to.
Comedian-actor Babatunde Aleshe was the fifth star to step in, meeting the rest of the celebrities in a lavish mansion: “I definitely don’t like rats. I had a hamster once and I was really scared of it.”
“Can I camp? No! I’m not that crazy Do I have survival skills? Yes! I’m from Tottenham. We run.
“I’m scared of everything. Rats, spiders, snakes and frogs at the top… Have you ever seen a toad?! Toads are huge! This is Australia man. They have animals they haven’t even spotted yet.”
The group were welcomed by hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, who expressed their excitement at being back in Australia two years after being held in Wales due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The duo explained that the stars would not go to the jungle together, with one of the stars being named jungle VIP – Olivia was chosen by the audience for the role.
She was able to pick one of her competitors for a VIP meal at the villa, with Olivia choosing radio DJ Chris.
The rest of the group were told that they were leaving the mansion and that they would have to earn their food on the way to their camp.
Chris said: “I think VIP realistically means we have a plate of fruit and then we do something that scares me to death.”
Ant and Dec explained that VIP actually means Very Isolated Person.
Olivia told Chris why she chose him to be her VIP: “I know you have a good sense of humor and we’re obviously going to spend some time together so we can have a laugh.”
Jill, Babtunde and Charlene then took off in a helicopter and flew across the Pacific Ocean to a 32-story skyscraper to take part in the infamous “Walk The Plank” challenge.
They were told that there were three stars to collect that they could exchange for meals and they would have to walk to the end of the plank, let go of the rope securing them and they would win their meals for camp.
While Charlene quickly walked to the end of the plank, which was quickly removed so she couldn’t turn back, Babatunde had to fight instinct to convince herself to take tiny steps forward.
Unable to walk to the end, the comedian yelled, “I’m a star… Get me out of here!” and backed to the roof of the building for safety.
Jill was able to complete the task quickly and marched to the end of the plank without a second time.
Both Charlene and Jill were then assigned to stand on an incline at the end of the plank and lean forward to look over the edge while holding onto a wire behind them.
To complete the task, both Jill and Charlene had to let go of the rope and throw themselves off the end of the plank, where they got caught in the air by a wire.
After enjoying their sumptuous meal together at the villa, Olivia and Chris were seen heading to the helicopter for a skydive over the water off the coast of the town of Surfers Paradise, Queensland, and onto a sandy beach.
After jumping out of the plane from 10,000 feet and screaming all the way down, Olivia excitedly declared, “It was the most incredible experience of my life! I cry!’
After Olivia’s VIP pal Chris landed safely on the beach and the pair had no idea where they were, the next five celebrities were welcomed onto the show.
Singer Boy George said he was perfect for the show because he’s a “natural born braggart” before being joined by Coronation Street actress Sue Cleaver.
Hollyoaks star Owen Warner was then seen arriving by boat after saying his worst jungle nightmare was encountering snakes.
A Place In The Sun presenter Scarlette Douglas then made an appearance and said she would bring her excellent cooking skills to the jungle camp to help make a difference.
The final of the second group of five celebrities to arrive was former rugby player Mike Tindall, who advised his fellow contestants to “choose not fear” when taking part in the grueling jungle quests.
George was chosen to be the VIP for this group, with the performer choosing to dine with Scarlette on a luxury yacht.
