After a while of waiting, the Em Nome do Céu miniseries will be released in Brazil as an Original Star+ project. Inspired by Jon Krakauer’s bestseller of the same name, the production centers on the murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy EdgarJones) and her young daughter in a quaint suburb of Utah’s Salt Lake Valley. in the United States United States in 1984.

As Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield) investigates events in the Lafferty family, he begins to uncover hidden truths about the origins of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints and the violent consequences of a dogmatic, uncompromising belief. What Pyre, a devout Mormon, discovers will cause him to question his own beliefs.

Andrew Garfield, actor known for his roles in films like Until The Last Man and SpiderMan: No Return Home, is the protagonist of the miniseries. Other big names that are part of the series’ cast include Daisy EdgarJones, Sam Worthington, Denise Gough, Wyatt Russell, Billy Howle, Gil Birmingham, Adelaide Clemens, Rory Culkin, Seth Numrich, Chloe Pirrie and Sandra Seacat.

Launched exclusively by Star+, Em Nome do Céu is a production that will surprise you for its immersive atmosphere, full of mysteries and a hunt for clues that lead to surprising discoveries. The miniseries was created by Academy Award® winner Lance Black, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer.
