The sides agreed to intensify cooperation on dealing with threats in areas such as cyberspace, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and strengthen cooperation on countering terrorism, violent extremism and radicalism.

Given the volatility of world energy prices, both leaders emphasized the rapid deployment of renewable energy, including offshore wind power, in which the European nation is a world leader, and in areas such as green hydrogen.

They highlighted the successful connection of the Covishield vaccine developed by Oxford University and manufactured by Serum Institute of India, the Association for Science and Technology, Higher Education and Migration Mobility and other fields.

India welcomed the UK’s accession to the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative under the maritime security pillar and agreed to work closely together in its commitment to maintaining an open, free and secure region.

The two heads of state stressed the importance of personal contacts, especially academic exchanges and student mobility between the two countries.

The parties exchanged a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the Global Innovation Partnership and another on cooperation in the India Global Center for Nuclear Power Partnership.
