Andrew Tate, a controversial internet personality who is being held in a Romanian jail after being arrested for human trafficking, is reportedly suffering from lung cancer, according to a New York Post report.
Mr Tate has a lesion in his upper right lung that will need to be removed, according to a copy of his medical record that has been doing the rounds online. The report, which comes from King’s College Hospital London in Dubai, says: “The findings are non-specific. The differential diagnosis includes a hamartoma, but the size of the lesion, the satellite nodules, and the infiltration of the surrounding tissues are suspicious findings of a more aggressive neoplastic lesion (carcinoid tumor, calcified metastases). A tissue biopsy is recommended.”
According to the report, Mr Tate was being treated before his arrest on December 29. The lesion on his upper right lung could be an indication of a rare, slow-growing cancer called carcinoid, according to his medical team.
According to a report in Marca, Mr Tate’s manager, known as The Sartorial Shooter, informed on Instagram that the news about the influencer is true. He wrote in his story: “Okay, a lot of people ask me if Tate’s lung cancer story is true. Yes it’s true, I was the one driving him to and from the hospitals in Dubai. I have no further details Share.”

Mr Tate’s lawyer urged Romanian judges to release him so he could travel to Dubai for treatment. However, officials in Romania turned him down, deciding he could continue to be treated in their country itself, the Post noted.
The British-American former kickboxer, his younger brother and two Romanian women are being investigated for alleged “formation of an organized criminal group, human trafficking and rape”. They are said to have forced women into “forced labor and pornographic acts” for “significant financial benefits”.
The Tate brothers’ assets, including a collection of high-quality vehicles, were seized by Romanian police during raids on several properties linked to them as part of the investigation.
