Just a coincidence. Shanna Moakler Recently spotted with an ex Matthew Rondo in Rhode Island, but a source tells Us Weekly that the skirmish was not planned.
The couple was photographed together in Providence on Sunday, March 13. Moakler, 46, was in town visiting her parents and had “no intentions of dating” the 29-year-old actress during her stay on the East Coast. insider.
“She didn’t fly across the country to see Matthew,” the source tells us, adding that the former beauty pageant queen “exclusively traveled to visit her family” in her home state.
While the couple’s reunion sparked speculation that they might be giving their romance another try amid their ups and downs, an insider doesn’t believe Moakler and Rondo are back together. However, the situation “worries Shanna’s friends and family, who are very concerned,” says the source.
The couple started dating in 2020. Moakler was previously married to Travis Barker from 2004 to 2008, with whom she shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16. The former Playboy model is also the mother of daughter Atiana, 22, from a former Oscar De La Hoya.
The Meet the Barkers alum’s relationship with Rondo raised eyebrows during her run on Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year. After being cut from a CBS reality show in February, the Murder Party star made a series of shocking accusations against Moakler in an Instagram video filled with expletives. Shortly thereafter, he was arrested for domestic violence after an argument with a former Miss Universe.
Rondo was released from custody six hours later. The former owner of Bridalplasty was subsequently issued an emergency protection order against him. Moakler “did not receive a restraining order” as the temporary suit expired earlier this month, the source said.
After the traumatic experience, Moakler reflected on the “ups and downs” she and Rondo went through. “It’s very difficult because I just lost the person I thought I’d spend the rest of my life with and my best friend,” she told Us exclusively on March 2. “I had a plan for my life. . … Now I don’t know where I am in my world, so I am trying to get the help I need to get back on track and in good condition so I can move forward.”
A day later, the reality TV star told People she was pregnant with her fourth child, adding, “It’s been a really hard week, but I’m taking it all day in and day out.”
Prior to her visit to Rhode Island, Moakler focused on “recovering” through “emotional time,” a second source told us. “She won’t go back to him, that’s for sure,” the insider said. “She’s fully prepared.”
