Instagram flags Regina Duarte’s post about terrorism as fake news

Instagram flagged a post by actress Regina Duarte, 75, about acts of terrorism by Bolsonarian radicals as “misinformation.”

In the post, the artist compares the gymnasium where prisoners were taken for taking part in antidemocratic acts to Nazi concentration camps and lies by saying that the TSE (Supreme Electoral Court) did not publish the source codes of the electronic voting machines.

Netizens watching Regina Duarte (12) post yesterday will read the following message: “False information. Checked by independent factcheckers”.

Why is Regina Duarte’s post fake? The part where the actress talks about the source codes is a lie. Incidentally, this was one of the main fake news mobilizing Bolsonarist extremists to destroy the Three Powers headquarters.

In the Post, Regina said that recent events in Brazil “bring back the issue of the infamous source code promised in the last elections for President of the Republic.”

However, contrary to what Regina Duarte and Bolsonarist extremists are suggesting, the source codes were opened by the TSE (Superior Electoral Court) a year before the elections.

That means the source codes collected by Bolsonarists like Regina Duarte were available for inspection by the inspection bodies defined in a TSE resolution, including all political parties, the State Ministry, the armed forces, universities and others.

Ever since polls of voting intentions pointed to Bolsonaro’s electoral defeat, the thenpresident began attacking the republic’s institutions, particularly the TSE. Without evidence, the farright politician claimed unfairness in the electronic voting machines and demanded that the source codes be made public. However, these codes were already in the public domain.

After the elections, the armed forces released a report confirming the fairness of Brazil’s electoral process. In its statement, the military said it was possible to infer the accuracy of votetotal data for the 2022 election. Nowhere in the document handed over to the electoral court was there any mention of evidence of voter fraud.
