The Israeli army claims to have found “indications” that the radical Islamic group Hamas is hiding hostages in a children’s hospital in Gaza. Army spokesman Daniel Hagari showed evidence in a video last night, including a baby bottle and a rope attached to a chair.
Evidence of hostage hiding places in the basement of the hospital in the northern Gaza Strip is now being investigated, Hagari said. The Israeli army also has “intelligence information confirming this.”
Army: Weapons found in the basement
Hagari also said in the video that the army also found “Hamas infrastructure” and weapons in the hospital basement. “Explosive belts, grenades, AK47 assault rifles, explosive devices, rocket launchers and other weapons” were discovered. The hospital was evacuated on Sunday.
“We also found evidence that the Hamas terrorists from the October 7 massacre returned to this hospital,” the army spokesman said. Among other things, he showed a motorcycle “with bullet holes” that “was used by Hamas terrorists during the October 7 massacre.” Hamas leader Khalil al-Haja told Al-Jazeera that Israel’s claims were false.
