Jaguars vs. Giants result: live updates, game stats, highlights, analysis for game of the week 7

The New York Giants took advantage of a Travis Etienne fumble in the red zone to take a 13-11 halftime lead over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Graham Gano’s 33-yard field goal in the last minute of the first half gave New York the lead after Daniel Jones led a 12-play 65-yard drive to put New York in goal position. Jones is 15 of 22 for 168 yards with a touchdown on an efficient day for the Giants, doesn’t turn the ball over and makes smart decisions with the football.

Darius Slayton grabbed a 32-yard touchdown for the Giants to give them an early 7-0 lead. Saquon Barkley, who plays with a shoulder strain, was limited to nine carries for 18 yards in the first half. The Giants lost Evan Neal to a knee injury, resulting in a reshuffle of their offensive line, with Joshua Ezeudu switching to right tackle at left and Ben Bredeson at left.

The Jaguars took an early lead thanks to some aggressiveness from Doug Pederson in the first half. Pederson went to two after a touchdown run from Travis Etienne in the first quarter to put the Jaguars on the table due to an illegal formation penalty from New York.

Pederson then went fourth and 1 from the Giants’ 27-yard line in the second quarter when Trevor Lawrence found Zay Jones for a 5-yard gain to move the chains. The drive resulted in a field goal to give the Jaguars an 11-7 lead. The Jaguars could have extended their lead late in the second quarter, but Etienne fumbled at the 2-yard line while the Giants rallied in the end zone.
