Universitario announced the departure of Carlos Compagnucci after the Argentine resigned after three consecutive defeats in League 1 and days after making his South American league debut. The search for the new DT needs to be expedited by the administration as he is set to play an important game this weekend. And the main option to take the reins of the technical direction of the “U” is Jorge Fossati, a Uruguayan strategist. The Uruguayan was also part of the Sport Manager alternatives years ago but no deal ever materialised.
