A journalist has died after a Russian missile destroyed her home during the UN chief’s visit to Kyiv.
The body of producer Vira Hyrych, who worked for US-funded Radio Liberty, was recovered from the rubble yesterday.
Ukrainian officials said the mother of a 54-year-old child was getting ready for bed when the ballistic missile hit the building on Thursday, shortly after UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called the Russian invasion “evil and absurd” in a nearby news conference with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy “ had designated.

At least two Russian rockets hit Kyiv during Mr Guterres’ visit, injuring at least ten people.
Radio Liberty President Jamie Fly said Hyrych’s death was “pointless”.
