They may be two of the most famous children in the world – but the Prince and Princess of Wales are doing everything in their power to ensure that Prince George and Princess Charlotte have as normal an upbringing as possible.
But in recent years, Kate Middleton and Prince William seem to be helping their eldest children adjust to the idea of being in the spotlight by taking them to sporting events.
Earlier this month, Prince William took George to see England take on Australia at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London to mark Princess Diana’s 62nd birthday.
The nine-year-old – pictured happily eating pizza – looked just like his dad in a smart blazer and plaid shirt.
Meanwhile, eight-year-old Princess Charlotte made a surprise appearance with her parents at the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last August.

The young queen winced, cheered and beamed as she watched the participants compete in the swim, hockey and gymnastics.
The cheeky student, who gave her first solo performance without her brothers, made her parents laugh with her enthusiasm – and once gave doting father William a thumbs-up.
Speaking to FEMAIL, royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams noted how the Prince and Princess of Wales deliberately use these types of engagements to get their children used to being in public.
The expert said: “We know how athletic Catherine is and how careful she and William are about their children’s privacy as they grow up.”
“That’s why it matters when they perform at sporting events.” The interest is huge, but of course the appearance is carefully balanced.
“Going to sports competitions, where there is so much partisan enthusiasm among the spectators, is one of the most relaxing ways to relax.” [George and Charlotte] into public life.’
However, the commenter stressed that Kate and William still want their children to feel relaxed and soak up the atmosphere.
Last February, George playfully stuck his tongue out while playing with his parents at the Six Nations.

On the engagement, Richard continued: “Last year George showed his cheeky side in rugby, he’s very young.”
“But if they make a face or look a little goofy, that’s also showing the human side of the royal family.” That’s also important.”
In addition, the expert also emphasized the passion of the Prince and Princess of Wales for the sport.
While Kate played hockey throughout her high school and college years, Prince William is also a keen rugby and polo player.
Richard added: “Sport is healthy too, which is one of the reasons the Prince and Princess of Wales, supported by occasional appearances with their children, are committed to this.”

Additionally, royal expert Duncan Larcombe previously claimed Kate was adamant that Prince George should wear a suit to the Games to prepare him for royal life.
In conversation with Ok! In the magazine, the pundit claimed Prince William was “excited at the idea” of his son wearing an England shirt at the Euro 2021 final.
However, the Princess of Wales reportedly said his formal attire was part of the “journey” she planned for her son.
The expert said: “She showed George that the ministry required a different approach.”
“He must learn to don the royal armor.”

George erupted in celebration as England took an early lead – but by the end of the evening, he looked devastated after the team lost to Italy on penalties in the final of the European Championship
Still, the Prince and Princess of Wales still urged their son to get involved in the game.
Duncan added: “George was encouraged to jump up and celebrate England’s goal, roar and wave and hug his mum and dad like any normal boy.”
“And even shed a tear when it all ended in heartbreak.”
The game ended in a 1-1 draw and went into overtime before ending in a penalty shootout. Despite two saves from Jordan Pickford, England missed three penalties in a row and Italy were crowned European champions in front of 60,000 fans at Wembley Stadium.
