Kate Gosselin has lost her court battle against her ex-husband Jon Gosselin after she sued him over alleged child support payments totaling over $132,000 for their eight children.
The former reality TV star, 48, initially filed a reopening suit against Jon, 46, on September 7, asking a Pennsylvania court to enforce payment of a previous judgment.
But Judge James E. Gavin decided to overturn the verdict and the case closed on Nov. 14, according to The Sun. The old ruling from March 2018 calls for child support in the amount of $132,875.
Jon’s legal team claimed that Kate – who rose to fame with her ex and their eight children on the TLC series “Jon & Kate Plus 8” – filed the lawsuits in response to him being awarded custody of their children Hannah and Colin be.
“She is suing for support for money donated by family members in 2012. At the time, she wanted custody of the kids so she could film and make more money,” a source previously told the publication.

The court battle revolved around a “judgment order” in Kate’s favor that was filed in 2012, before Jon became estranged from all but two of his children.
The court filing states: “We therefore believe and declare that the purpose of the sentencing note is to issue a sentence, as a sentence should be.” [Jon] filed a complaint seeking custody of the child, which he did and was successful. [Jon] has not paid this amount.’
“A contract cannot penalize a party for asserting his or her parental rights to such an extent that the exercise of those rights becomes intolerable in practice.”

In August 2022, Kate’s lawyer claimed Jon still owes her $132,000 after accusing her of stealing $100,000 from two of her children’s bank accounts.
In legal documents obtained by The Sun, Kate confirmed that she made two separate withdrawals of $50,000 from her teenagers Hannah and Collins’ trust accounts, but claimed that it was “for survival” and “to cover the Expenses for her and the children” served.

Jon also told The Sun he only found out about the missing money when he “gained custody of the two children in 2018 and saw their bank statements.”
He and the mother of eight had set up trust accounts for their large family to keep the money they earned from TLC and endorsements safe until they turned 18.
After being asked in court whether she should take the money, Kate insisted she had to “keep borrowing to survive”.
