Katherine Ryan slams amusement park after son Fred banned from queuing for 25 minutes

Katherine Ryan blasted an amusement park for not allowing her son to ride despite queuing for 25 minutes.

Taking to Instagram, the 39-year-old comedian vented her frustration after revealing Fred, two, came up front before being told he couldn’t ride because he was too small.

The mother-of-three claimed her digger-loving toddler was actually tall enough for the ride, showing him off alongside the 90cm height limit board.

Katherine captioned the pic: “Fred wasn’t allowed to ride after queuing forever lol ok,” revealing that even though she asked again, he still wasn’t allowed to ride.

The TV personality, 39, her partner Bobby Koostra, Fred and their daughter Violet, 13, were at Diggerland on Monday when the incident took place.

The comedian, who also has baby Fenna Grace, 4 months, referenced Julia Roberts’ iconic film Pretty Woman in another video.

She was referring to a scene where the sex worker is barred from shopping on Rodeo Drive.

Katherine said: “I don’t want to make too many ‘big mistakes’ for this girl because she was just doing her job and it was a matter of health and safety.

“But, big mistake, huge. He was big enough. It takes unique skills that I admire to do a job like this.

“Being able to look at a two-year-old who’s been in line for 25 minutes and say ‘no.’ Even when I said “look, he’s definitely big enough” but she said “no”.

“Excavators are what he cares about most in the world and he was standing in line wanting a ride and a ride and she just said no.”

A Diggerland spokesman said: “Customer safety is Diggerland’s top priority. Therefore, all guests, including children, are measured for each ride before they are admitted.

“Our park marshal rightly tried to measure the child with the measuring stick. When children are on the limit, as was the case in this case, the dipstick must be used as a more accurate measuring tool.

“Had Katherine Ryan and her family spoken to a manager on the day of her visit, this incident would have been resolved as quickly as possible and very quickly. We are very sad to have learned the news of Katherine’s disappointment via social media instead.

“We reached out to Katherine Ryan and personally messaged her via her Instagram in response to her visit. We also offered Katherine a free return visit so her family could fully enjoy a day at Diggerland. Thanking us for reaching out, Katherine said, “We had a great time, otherwise thanks.”

It comes after Katherine hit back in February at a mum-shamer who posted a critical comment on a snap of the comedian with their baby daughter Fenna Grace.

The TV star uploaded a series of photos documenting her week with her kids.

One shot showed the star cuddling her baby daughter as she enjoyed brunch at London’s upmarket hotel Claridge’s, with a glass of wine on the table in front of her.

Below the photo carousel, one follower wrote: “Enough with drinking wine while breastfeeding. I couldn’t care less about statistics about percentages. Alcohol is not healthy for adults… let alone babies.”

However, Katherine was quick to defend herself, replying, “Kera, my little kids are smart enough to slowly explain to you why it’s okay.”

Previously, Katherine posted a photo of herself breastfeeding Fenna Grace while toasting the camera with a glass of white wine, which again drew criticism.

One follower wrote: With all due respect, drinking & breastfeeding is the same as drinking during pregnancy!’

To which the comedian replied, “With all due respect, you’re talking out of your ass.”
