Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she and her family have a secret code in case someone tries to impersonate her using artificial intelligence [AI].
The 39-year-old TV personality spoke about “how important” it is to have a safe word within the family in case someone tries to “blackmail you for money” or hack you.
Artificial intelligence, also known as AI, is the intelligence of machines or software, as opposed to the intelligence of humans or animals.
When she spoke on Osbourne's podcast, her father Ozzy, 75, and brother Jack, 38, were there.
She explained: “Now, because of AI, it's really important to have a very secret safe word that you have with your family.”

“This is something we have in our family because they get your vote, call your parents and act like they kidnapped you and blackmailed you for money.”
“But if you have a safe word, whatever it may be, like watermelon, if the safe word isn't said or you can't get that word out, then you know it's a fake.”
AI can mimic a person's voice and there is growing concern that it can be used to commit crimes.
Kelly added that people are able to call others and fraudulently use the impression of their voice to extort money from others.
