Kevin Bacon and his daughter Sosie Bacon star in a new commercial for Hyundai’s new all-electric IONIQ 6.
It begins with the Footloose star pulling up outside a suburban home just as Sosie steps out the front door to join him.
‘There it is. My dad chose EV,” says Sosie at the top of the ad.
“It’s electric, don’t be shocked, Kevin darts out from behind his daughter while standing on a driveway.

In the ad, Sosie, wearing a green jumpsuit with a blue denim jacket, jokes that her father isn’t tech savvy.
“The guy who’s forever locked out of his email becomes EV,” she proclaims with a sarcastic tone.
“Oooh, nice car,” says Sosie, just after the couple is in the car and Kevin is in the driver’s seat.
“Actually, it’s an EV that rhymes with Kev,” jokes the longtime lead actor, with a big beaming smile on his face while his daughter casts an annoyed look at her face.

After pulling into a charging station, Kevin continues with another tame joke by declaring, “EV VIP Parking.”
Just as they both step back out of the car, the Smile actress draws her attention to a few questions from critics and potential buyers.
‘I get it. They don’t think they’re attacking fast enough or going far enough,” says Sosie before it’s her father’s turn to end these debates.
‘Updated percent charge in 18 minutes. Range, hey, we could go to Mexico,” he announces.
The father-daughter duo then make their way to a coffee shop, where Sosie reveals, “EVs aren’t going to start being a thing. Check out the IONIQ 6.”
