Kevin Spacey was charged in London a year ago with four counts of sexual assault for repeated assaults between 2005 and 2013. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges and his trial is scheduled for June 28.

The American beauty actor said in his interview that he hopes the upcoming trial will have a similar outcome to the Anthony Rapp case, in which he was not found liable for sexual misconduct. “Once things are examined closely, they fall apart. That happened in the Rapp trial and it will happen in this case too,” he said confidently.

And he is also confident about the future of his career: “I know that there are people who are ready to hire me as soon as I am acquitted of these allegations in London,” the actor told the German newspaper. The second that happens, they’re ready to move on.

Kevin Spacey also claimed that the media did their best to turn him into a “monster” and spoke of the “cancel culture”, the “cancellation process” that currently prevails in the United States and consists of citing works inheritance or blacklist personalities by banning tours, concert performances, etc. “It is a time when many people are very afraid of being boycotted if they support me,” said the 63-year-old Comedian.
